Traffic in the right lane merges left one lane as southbound I-75 goes from three lanes to two lanes at mile marker 287 in Pasco County. On March 4, 2016, a third southbound lane opened in a 7-mile segment from south of the Hernando County line to north of SR 52. Three lanes are also open in the northbound direction in that same area.
