About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation has completed operational improvements to the northbound I-75 exit at Bruce B. Downs Boulevard (County Road 581). This project was designed to alleviate the traffic back-ups on northbound I-75 that had been occurring during the afternoon/evening "rush hour." The improvements included:
- The addition of a second lane exiting northbound I-75 at Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.
- An additional lane on northbound Bruce B. Downs Boulevard from the I-75 interchange to the Trout Creek Bridge.
- Traffic signal modifications to allow more "green light time" to the northbound I-75 exiting traffic should back-ups onto I-75 be detected.
