About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has constructed a 4-lane divided highway connection to Interstate 275 from County Road 296 (118th Avenue North). It provides connections to northbound and southbound I-275 from County Road 296, as well as a connection to County Road 296 from southbound I-275. A ramp from northbound I-275 to County Road 296 is expected to be built in the future, though that project is not currently funded for construction. The project was designed, in part, to provide relief to the current traffic congestion on U.S. Highway 19 and Ulmerton Road.
Improvement highlights for this project include:
- Connect County Road 296 to Interstate 275.
- Provide highway lighting for that area.
- Provide signalization on County Road 296 at 31st Court North.
