About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor is creating additional right turn lanes on the ramp from eastbound Interstate I-4 onto southbound Thonotosassa Road (S.R. 566). A traffic signal will be installed at the Thonotosassa Road intersection with the eastbound I-4 exit ramp and Thonotosassa Road will be resurfaced from Townsgate Court to just north of I-4.

The completed project will result in two right turn lanes on the eastbound I-4 exit-ramp onto southbound Thonotosassa Road.

Traffic Flow
The construction phasing is designed so that all existing lanes of traffic will be open on I-4 and Thonotosassa Road during peak traffic hours and major special events.

Night Work
In order to maintain the construction schedule and to minimize the impact to the traveling public, lane closures are planned for nighttime hours as needed.
