About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor constructed additional left turn lanes for access to northbound and southbound I-275 at the 22nd Avenue North interchange. All work at the interchange was along 22nd Avenue, as well as on the entrance ramps onto I-275.
The completed project has resulted in two through-lanes in each direction of 22nd Avenue and additional left turn lanes (totaling two in each direction, east & west) for the entrance ramps to I-275.
Traffic Flow
The construction phasing was designed so that all existing lanes of traffic were open on I-275 and on 22nd Avenue during peak traffic hours and major special events.
Night Work
In order to maintain the construction schedule and to minimize the impact to the traveling public, lane closures were used during nighttime hours as needed.
Lane Closure Hours
11:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
