About this Project
This project is designed to make various repairs to the Sunshine Skyway and Bunces Pass bridges and to help identify future maintenance needs of these bridges.
On the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, the Florida Department of Transportation's contractor is doing the following work: testing and inspecting, repairing and replacing bearings, applying corrosion protection to two footers and two columns, applying a deck sealer, adding a bridge monitoring system, and installing reflective railing markers.
At Bunces Pass, the contractor is doing beam repair and corrosion protection.
Traffic Flow
There will be occasional single-lane closures on I-275 on these bridges for work and inspection activities. Traffic flow should not be significantly impacted as all closures will be done at night when there are fewer vehicles using the interstate.
Lane Closure Hours: 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
