About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor has completed milling and resurfacing I-75 from the Pasco-Hernando counties line to south of Lockhart Road in Hernando County.
Improvement Highlights
- Fixed the deteriorating condition of the existing roadway for a smoother and better riding surface.
- Constructed a bridge pier protection system at the Church Road overpass.
- Replaced guardrail where needed.
The construction phasing was designed so that all existing I-75 traffic lanes remained open during peak hours.
Night Work
In order to maintain the construction schedule and to minimize the impact to the public, it was necessary for the contractor to also work at night. Lane closures, traffic shifts, and traffic paces were used during different phases of the project.
Lane Closure Hours were:
9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
