About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor, Trans Tech Electric, installed Intelligent Transportation System field components as part of the Tampa SunGuide Freeway Management System.
This included installation of dynamic message signs, closed circuit television, microwave detectors, and fiber optic cable along I-75 from south of U.S. Highway 301 to Fowler Avenue. New fiber optic cable was installed along I-75 for the entire project length and from I-75 into the new Tampa Bay Sunguide control center on McKinley Drive, just south of Fowler Avenue.
