About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation milled and resurfaced the northbound and southbound I-275 roadways beginning at the north end of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to approximately 1/4 mile north of the north toll plaza. Additionally, the rest area parking lot, bicycle path, frontage roads, and fishing pier ramps were resurfaced. There were also sign and pavement marking upgrades and repairs made to guardrail.
Lane Closure Hours were
* 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Sunday thru Thursday nights as needed.
*Public access was maintained to the fishing pier and rest area at all times during construction activities.
Improvement highlights for this project included:
- Resurfaced the existing pavement as described above.
- Upgraded pavement markings.
Southbound I-275 exit to westbound SR 60 may be closed at night
