About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor, Ajax Paving Industries, will resurface the northbound and southbound I-275 roadways beginning at the north end of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to approximately 1/4 mile north of the north toll plaza. Additionally, the rest area parking lot, bicycle path, frontage roads, and ramps will be resurfaced. The guardrail in the median will be upgraded to today's safety standards.
Lane closures will be allowed from 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Sunday thru Thursday nights only. Public access will be maintained to the fishing pier and rest area at all times during construction activities.
Improvement highlights for this project include:
- Resurface the existing pavement as described above.
- Upgrade existing guardrail to meet current standards.
- Upgrade pavement markings.
Southbound I-275 exit to westbound SR 60 may be closed at night
