New connection from Tampa International to southbound Interstate 275

Beginning Friday morning, January 16, motorists leaving Tampa International Airport (TPA) going to St. Petersburg will have a new connection to southbound I-275. Shown in green on this map, as motorists leave TPA on southbound George Bean Parkway, they will use the left two lanes of the flyover bridge to go to southbound I-275. This new connection allows drivers to travel directly to southbound I-275 without any merges or competition from eastbound State Road 60/southbound Memorial Highway traffic.
