7/12/2007 - Sunshine Skyway Bridge - General News
ST. PETERSBURG -- High wind warning signs that are posted on the approaches to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge are used to advise motorists that winds are higher than normal and can make travel dangerous, especially for high profile vehicles. The signs activate with winds in excess of 25 MPH. If wind speeds increase and exceed 40 MPH, law enforcement will stop traffic for vehicle safety reasons.
