About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) contractor milled and resurfaced Interstate 275 from the Dick Misener Bridge (north of the north toll plaza for the Sunshine Skyway Bridge) to 54th Avenue South/Pinellas Bayway. The resurfacing also included the ramps within the project limits.

The long ramp from southbound U.S. Highway 19 to southbound I-275 was closed around-the-clock for about two weeks near the beginning of the project. A detour route was provided using 54th Avenue South, 31st Street South and Pinellas Point Drive.

Other work in this project included minor drainage and guardrail upgrades.

Traffic Flow
There was daytime work, but the construction plans were designed so that all mainline travel lanes were open on I-275 during peak traffic hours.

Night Work
In order to maintain the construction schedule, and to minimize the impact to the traveling public, lane closures were used during nighttime hours.

Lane Closure Hours
8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
