About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) contractor removed (milled) and resurfaced (paved) the asphalt travel lanes of I-75 from Lockhart Road to the Withlacoochee River Bridge in Hernando County.

The project also included resurfacing three of the four ramps at the State Road 50 (Cortez Blvd.) interchange. Closures on these ramps were limited and took place during the regular closure hours, Monday through Thursday nights. Only the southbound I-75 Exit 301 to State Road 50 was NOT resurfaced as it had been done prior to this project.

Traffic Flow
The construction phasing was designed so that all existing lanes of traffic and interchange ramps were open on I-75 during peak traffic hours.

Night Work
In order to maintain the construction schedule, and to minimize the impact to the traveling public, lane closures and construction work were done during nighttime hours.

Lane Closure Hours
7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
