Project Limits: Half mile south of I-75 to I-75
Project Length: one-half mile
Construction Cost: $3.1 million

About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor extended the northbound lanes of I-275 up to the exit point to the SR 56 exit ramp (Exit 59) and the exit ramp onto northbound I-75. All work was west of I-75.
The new configuration allows for the 3 lanes going onto northbound I-75 to continue past the split to the SR 56 exit ramp, merging down to two lanes before entering the bridge over I-75.
Traffic Flow
The construction phasing was designed so that all existing lanes of traffic were open during peak traffic hours.
Night Work
In order to maintain the construction schedule and to minimize the impact to the traveling public, lane closures and detours were used during nighttime hours as needed.
Lane Closure Hours: 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
