About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) contractor has completed installing sound barrier walls in many areas along the I-275 corridor between Busch Boulevard and the U.S. 41 overpass (north of Bearss Avenue).
Approximately 20,000 linear feet of precast wall was installed along the FDOT right-of-way and about 400 feet of cast-in-place wall was constructed on the I-275 bridges over Linebaugh Avenue and Bougainvillea Avenue.
A traffic control plan was used to minimize inconvenience to the traveling public. However, periodic nighttime closures were necessary for mainline travel lanes.
Lane Closure Hours were
* Mainline: 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
* Central Ave., Florence Ave., Linebaugh Ave., Bouganvillea Ave.: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
