About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation has removed a portion of the existing eastbound State Road 60 (Memorial Highway) ramp to southbound I-275. The remaining portion of this ramp has been extended and connected to the existing Cypress Street to I-275 southbound entrance ramp. This improvement provides a more gradual merge movement from State Road 60 onto I-275, which improves safety and provides some relief to congested traffic in this area.
Lane Closure Hours were:
* 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. as needed.
* Any detours were limited to the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights.
Other improvement highlights for this project included:
- The construction of full-height and variable-height concrete barrier wall on both the north and south sides of the new entrance ramp.
- Installation of new drainage structures, as well as the removal or modification of existing drainage structures.
