Changes in place for Tampa International Airport and Spruce Street entering WB SR 60

(PHASE4a_PBSJ_web850w.JPG)

Changes for traffic exiting Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Spruce Street going onto westbound State Road 60 that began August 31, 2009:

This traffic now merges into the roadway where traffic coming from I-275 and Kennedy Boulevard was put into a new alignment on August 19 (red lines on the map). This means drivers from TPA and Spruce are now following the same changes as were put into place August 19 for traffic coming from I-275 and Kennedy Boulevard.

Once entering northbound Memorial/westbound State Road 60, the following conditions exist for all:

1. Traffic going to the Courtney Campbell Parkway from the new alignment now exits to the RIGHT (green line coming off the red line on left/middle of map). [Drivers need to be in one of the 4 lanes to the left to avoid exiting to the Courtney Campbell.]

2. Drivers going to Veterans or other points north continue on the bridge over the Courtney Campbell.

3. Traffic going to Independence Parkway, Memorial Highway, Hillsborough Avenue, etc. now exits to the RIGHT north of the Courtney Campbell Parkway. [Shown in red in the right middle of the map.]

a. Continue on this ramp (red line) to Independence. If going to the other roads, take the blue ramp off this red ramp and follow signs to the road you want to connect to.

4. Drivers should closely watch for signs and know where they want to go. After passing the combined exit to Independence/Memorial/Hillsborough, drivers will be on the Veterans Expressway and will PAY TOLLS.
